The somewhat deeper lines on his visage and the pockets under his eyes may betray his years upon Tyria; It’s mostly the fatigue of one who has travelled much and seen the best, and the worse, humanity has to offer. His weather-worn skin and dark gray hair and beard probably don’t help either, paired with pale, grayish eyes with barely a hint of blue. At 5’8, he’s on the short side for a human male. Fakhri can be rather direct and, quite frankly, annoying as hell sometimes. But he can also be extremely caring. He’s a living representation of many vices, finding some temporary escape from his own mind in alcohol, cigarettes, drugs and gambling, to name only those. Truth is, he hides a great deal of turmoil under that rough exterior. Sometimes the mask crack, revealing a bit of what’s underneath; he’s not as bad as he makes others believe, and far cleverer and intelligent than he looks.COMBAT ABILITY
Despite his lazy attitude, and the fact he sees the bottom of a bottle quite often, Fakhri still has decades of experience under his belt. By “experience”, one alludes to those skills required to survive at the bottom of the social ladder - streetwise, fast and agile on one’s feet, and a shrewd intellect that he’ll often hide to give a false first impression. While the man is a passive individual, if cornered or forced to act, he’ll defend himself or those he wishes to protect. After all, none can survive in the slums unless they know how to fight, or run.With an affinity for deception and illusions, it comes as no surprise that the young boy he once was grew into a self-taught Mesmer and a professional con-artist. Furthermore, there are Whispers about that label the man as a seer or an oracle; if this is but another trick to con people out of their hard-won coins is another story entirely.

Unlike the shamanistic Norn, Fakhri embraces a broader worldview where spirits inhabit all aspects of the natural world and none is “bad” or “evil”. Well aware that the Norns consider Mountain, Seasons, Fire and Darkness as unworthy of reverence and not even sentient spirits, he keeps his own beliefs to himself when around them. However, he has a strong bond with the Spirit of Rat, which is somewhat puzzling considering he’s merely human. To those Norns who have known the man for a decade, they can’t dismiss the fact Fakhri is always accompanied by an extremely cunning and intelligent white rat, who by now has lived way longer than any rat should.

The Past || As the third generation in a family of Elonian refugees, the first two decades of his life were spent in Divinity's Reach and the Queensdale region. He lived in the slums of the city with his grandfather as guardian (age 5 to 15) before becoming an orphan. He'll travel to and from Lion's Arch some years later, after acquiring some skills to fend for himself.The underworld || Fakhri is far from being a respectable man. His time spent with seedy individuals made him take on a lot of their vices - drinking, smoking and gambling - not to mention the very real need to survive without guardians. This all lead to debts (before he became quite good at that cheating game). He initially fled Divinity's Reach because he got in hot water with some gambling rings and drug dealers, only to come back many years later. Maybe you were on the 'receiving end' during that time (or now) as he's quite a skilled con artist. Furthermore, he's very well known in the poorer districts of Divinity's Reach as a benevolent figure for the less fortunate.The Blue Oracle || With his gift - or curse - of clairvoyance, Fakhri will often find a quiet corner in any city or town and sell his service as an oracle. He carries with him a hand-carved set of runes and, despite being a self-proclaimed con artist, a lot of his readings do offer true insight. He's also a Mesmer and performs feats of magic and card tricks to earn a few coins.The musician || A master pianist, guitarist and singer, Fakhri compose his own music and performs in many small establishments all over the world, as the fancy strikes or if he's been invited. While he wishes to remain an 'underground artist' rather than the next pop star, some may have had the pleasure of listening to one of his performance.Well traveled || From his humble beginnings in Kryta and through centaur infested lands, to the Bloodtide Coast to the everlasting snow of the Shiverpeaks, the man as, by now, traveled a great deal. The land of the Asura and the Silvari - and even the Charr - are no stranger to him. He still frequently travel, for pleasure, business, or to 'get rid of some problems'.Never say no to a drink || If anyone was to offer him a drink, he'd rarely refuse. Same for a good meal, or a pack of cigarettes. You know, the good stuff in life.

Personal RP Limit
I roleplay the whole spectrum of dark and mature themes. I do not, however, do so without good communication and without anything leading to it; ERP for the sake of ERP will be ignored, and I will not maim, severely injure or have my character imprisoned for long periods without prior consent. I extend the same courtesy to those I RP with. If there are lines that shouldn’t be crossed, I’ll respect those boundaries.Lore-abiding
I try to stick to the lore as best I can but I'm open to head-canon and lore bending when the lore is lacking or it goes into gray territory.I will not RP with characters that are linked to any of the major NPCs, that are "hybrid races" or of descendance from historical figures. I have no problems with anyone who likes and want to RP any of the above, and I encourage you to with other like-minded roleplayers.Style
One word to describe the way I RP and DM: realistic. It means, in essence, that IC actions have IC consequences, and that my characters are not on the scale of 'anime characters' when it comes to their skills/powers. I'm on the NA region, EST and usually available between 6 pm to 9 pm; weekends varies widely. I prefer to schedule RP sessions in advance. This also means be on time when RP is scheduled, and I can't stress this enough. Out of respect for you, I aim to be on time and available, please show me the same courtesy. I'm past my mid 40s, working a full-time job as a paralegal and getting home tired quite often, and dealing with chronic health issues, yet I always honor all RP appointments.
